Dear Aidan...

Dear sweet Aidan,
I'm sitting here trying to think how I could even come close to expressing on "paper" how much joy you add to our lives. I can't. I can't even come close to how precious you are. I'm going to try not to shed a tear while writing this but I can't promise I won't. I added these pictures and with that alone it makes me want to cry as I miss those days when you were smaller. You're already six and I think I've come to the conclusion it just gets harder each year letting you grow older. Sometimes I just want to snuggle you like I used too. Of course, you still come to me for snuggles while you sit and hang both your feet on the right of me. ha! I'm so thankful for those times. Although I miss your baby times I can't even tell you how much I absolutely LOVE your little boy ways. You have already grown to be such a smart, courageous, brave, independent, so inquisitive, FULL of love, joyous, thoughtful, and wonderful son. You have been asking a lot of questions about being a Christian and are confident you are going to Heaven. You love Jesus and sometimes I sneak in the morning to catch you read your new Bible. Those are rare moments and I treasure them.  You are learning so much in school with me. You are reading on a 2nd grade level. In fact, all you asked for your birthday was books so you could become smarter. Oh, and a compass like Daddy's. :) You play so well with your sisters and I just know you are going to set such a great example. Even when you do make mistakes you are always so quick to say your sorry and make sure they are okay. You tell me AT LEAST one time a day that you "love me so so much!" Always unexpected, sometimes with a huge hug, and with so much excitement. I often question how I deserve such love from you (even in my mistakes...*tears*).Daddy and I are SO SO SO proud of you!!! You are our favorite little boy who will always be our baby and will always be so special. You truly are a miracle and we look forward to seeing what the Lord has for you. We continue to pray daily for your faith in Jesus, to be led by the Holy Spirit, introduced to godly friends, a godly wife (but don't get me teared on that one), and to follow His straight and narrow way. That you will love unconditionally and serve those around you and never forget how much God loves you. We love you SO SO much Aidan Samuel Jones! Happy 6th birthday sweet boy!
