Keeping Up with the Jones: Our 5 year old!

Sweet ~~Pea~~ Aidan,

There are just no words coming to my mind because it's just emotions flooding through my heart. You are the big 5. I have a couple of tears trying to make their way out now as I sit trying to write this letter for you. I don't even know where to begin of how proud of you I am and extremely lucky to be your mommy. You are sunshine. Your smile just takes me back to when you first smiled and just lights up your entire face. Your smile just radiates. You are so kind and sharing. I love that you think of others and just welcome anyone to be your friend. The way you are SO SO proud of your sisters (always telling people about your little sisters), and your dinosaur room (even if people have seen it 10x you still want to show them your "new" room). You love reading books, doing school with Mommy, watching cartoons, playing Leap Frog games, playing Angry Birds (thanks to Gramps that's your new favorite game), solve "mysteries", investigate, draw in your journal, jump on the trampoline, swim, still loving the zoo and animals, wrestling with Daddy, going to church, and more. I asked Daddy one word to describe you and he said, "happy." You radiate joy. Aidan, my favorite part of the day is just laying with you on your bed and us talking about our favorite parts of the day. Of course, we trail off to other topics but I savor every minute of that time knowing how quickly you are growing up. You tell people I'm sad you're turning 5 (probably because I've told you and we've giggled) and you're right, I'm sad. These years are just going so quickly but also happy in who you are becoming and your little heart that loves so willingly. Aidan you are a treasure that is priceless. We love you in words that just don't even express how much. We are so gracious the Lord gave us you.
