Sugar Cookies

Before Nana left her visit with us (while Amelia was being born), we decided to have a little fun in sugar cookie baking and decorating. These are always my favorite during the holidays and such a fun tradition I remember as a kid. Not only do we do gingerbread cookies, but we enjoy the sugar ones just as much! :) 

Although she is just as sweet as a cookie, she just enjoyed the sweet smell of baking and hearing the fun around her. Maybe next year she can help taste test... ;)

 While the girls only accomplished one cookie before they decided to lick the icing, etc, Aidan picked up the slack and enjoyed cookie decorating with me and my mom. ;) Of course, if I didn't have to decorate I would have been right alongside the girls licking the icing. :)

And while we were busy decorating...look what I caught just a glimpse away...I thought Mommy was supposed to rest while Nana was here? ha!

 And the best part...getting to hold and snuggle Amelia when we were all finished!
