Well in one week, we headed to the park 2 days in a row with friends (temp in the 70's) because we knew at the end of the week it was going to look like...
This... (the kids were SO anxious for snow to fall) I couldn't believe we were at the park playing and the next day it was ice!!
I guess I didn't realize how fun it was to sit and wait... ;)
So of course, the next morning we were OUTSIDE to explore! It snowed last year when Adelyn was around 10 months old but she didn't experience quite the same. ;) This year she was not too sure about it, explored it and then was inside in the warmth in no time. ha!
Snow angels in ice isn't quite the same... ;)
Of course, it quickly went to this afterwards...
Thawing out frozen fingers and toes. :)
With hot chocolate afterwards. :)
When you're trapped inside for three days, what do you do? Dress in cowboy boots.
Ride on the Daddy express :)
Play board games...
Even Avery enjoyed our family time. ;)
And by that night we were giving Aidan breathing treatments. His asthma flared. Since it flares when he has a virus or the mold count is high (which has been low) we think the symptoms of the virus just showed up that night. So poor guy didn't get to play anymore but instead has been reading, movie watching, kindle playing, and resting. Of course, his little sisters had to empathize with him. Sweet girls! Two days later (today) he's been doing much better. We've been monitoring his "peak flow" and not having to give as many breathing treatments. Thankful for a great Dr. who knows how to kick it before it gets worse!
Of course, we also have been using the foam roller to stretch out.. ;)
The girls have been enjoying their babies and taking them for walks.
We've also had Princess time!
And looking through old blog books...
Both of our parents have had their power out for 2-3 days. I'm so glad my parents got theirs on last night and now we wait and pray for Josh's parents to turn on. Did you know there are over 140,000 people without power in the DFW area!? So scary and makes us that much more thankful for our electricity. Our sidewalks and streets are thick ice and now we just wait for it to melt. Praying for those around us who need electricity, help, and other needs.
