Halloween Week!

We needed an "off" week. It's been pretty structured this year so far and it was nice to relax a little and get some fun learning in with Halloween theme. I should probably say more Fall themed since I stayed away from the "scary" things such as witches, skeletons, and monsters. But that didn't stop us from spiders, pumpkins, candy corn, and scarecrows! They had a blast!

Pumpkin Day!

I did water bead sensory play and they had such a blast! I see more of those in our future. :)

Movie time. This is what Curious George can do... ;)

Practice name writing because she asked for it.

 Candy Corn Day!
More matching.

This was a fun game I found and it worked perfect for our spelling lessons this week.

Candy corn treats! (pineapple, mandarins, and cool whip)

 Scarecrow Day!
Retelling story time!

More water beads!

We had fun! And I'm just going to add as much work as this takes, you're right. I'm exhausted. Maybe I do what every one else does when they stay home, maybe not enough, maybe more. I don't know but when I do sit down in the quiet and think of the blessings we have and the opportunity to do it I'm so thankful. I'm thankful I get to love my kids every moment (even in the hard times). This season is a tough balance and I know one day I'm going to look back and wonder how I did that or I wish I did more but when it comes down to it (no matter how much), the glory goes to God. He is the one who gets me through each fun moment. The hard moments. The moments I want to yell or cry. And the thing is, I wouldn't trade it for anything. Grateful for God's grace and Him taking over when I can't.
