Memorial Day Part 2

Even though Sunday was more of our day off (since Josh had planned yard work on Monday), Josh had planned to take the family on a nature walk and then camp out that night in the backyard since it would be the kids first time camping. ;) You have to start somewhere right? And what better place than your backyard with a bathroom next door just in case. ;) 

So our fun family walk took place across the highway in a wooded area with a pond we can fish at if we wanted (we did a few times last year). There are a lot of walking trails and bike trails to enjoy. We are lucky to have a place close to us!

 Next was coming home and setting the tent up and camping out. The kids were SO excited!!

 Abigail made it until 9:30pm until she was ready to come in and get in her own bed. So tired she dropped her night blanket on the living room with her pillow, slightly hit her arm on the couch as she was walking to her room. Behind her, I picked everything up, followed her in, tucked her sweet self in her bed and she was out within 30 seconds. Aidan and Josh slept the whole night in the tent and loved every minute. The best part for Aidan was waking up outside. We were so glad to have a family weekend.
