Such a good day. :) I'm not sure if I could avoid the thought but it was pretty amazing to think on this birthday how the last one was spent in the hospital snuggling my new Adelyn. At the time it seemed a little crazy and chaotic but now I wish I could just go back for a few minutes to enjoy the newness and excitement of that day in a different perspective. Make sense? Now don't get me wrong this one was pretty special too just not as different as the previous year (hitting the big 30 in the hospital).
Anyway, if you know me well you know my insane love for cookie cakes and each year I ask for one. I'm tellin' ya if I get one, I'm good to go. You've hit the jackpot! :) In addition to Josh getting me one I did get some other sweet gifts and a close friend came to visit me all day with her son (Aidan's good friend) and we picked up McCalisters for lunch (one of my favorite places) and enjoyed it at home. After work Josh ended the evening with cooking quesadillas for me. I'd say it was a great birthday! :) May not have been exciting as the big 1 for Adelyn but it was perfect for me! :)
