I know I've already shared a few fishing adventures but I wanted to show just how much we've grown to love it even more. With life now I can't even remember if I've shared with you just how much Josh and I have grown as couple through it. I know! Fishing. But yes, when life and kids and cleaning and working and cleaning and schedules just run through your mind constantly, it can be difficult to find those fun FUN common interests with your spouse. Sadly, we've fallen prey to just life and can easily neglect those common interests. Not that we mean too, it's just hard when we are constantly serving and loving on our kiddos. ;) So we have found that even though it's not just two of us peacefully fishing, we have 3 other little ones wanting to be a part of the fun. And us all enjoying it makes it sooooo worth it.
Even if your children want to throw a whole piece of bread out (instead of little torn pieces like you told them...pick your battles right? ;)
Or catching a fish on your child's spiderman fishing pole because he was too tired of waiting and rather throw rocks or look at the fishing lures. (Funny part of this, is I was actually just reeling in the line to see if there was bait left and surprise I had a fish attached.) Excuse the early morning look I have.
The best part. Showing the fish and watching them learn.
While trying to teach them that patience is the key. ;)
So even though we have little ones who don't quite have the attention span to watch a bobber (I'm pretty sure that's the word) go up or down, we know that drawing in the dirt with sticks, collecting rocks, throwing bread to watch minnows eat it makes long lasting memories.
