Garden...here we come!

It's that time again! The time has come for us to begin our gardening process. Now as most of you know, we do this each year and while I enjoy being a part of teaching our children the garden process, we also use this as a teaching tool to show God's truths. That is our main focus each year. You can also read Josh's post (and heart) from last year HERE. If you clicked "Here" I'm sure you got to enjoy some pictures of how small Aidan and Abigail looked too! ha! :) I love his desire to teach our children through daily living and examples such as gardening. I know he is also proud to have received this passion of gardening from his dad who also gardens and passed down wisdom. So here we are again starting the process! :)

Josh and Aidan talked about recycling since we are using toilet paper rolls as seed starters. Since they are biodegradable (once in the ground) when planted in the garden. They started with just bell peppers since the rest of the seeds won't be planted until the end of February.

We then used a tin with cover that I had as a "greenhouse" to put beside the window and begin the process. (We were pretty proud of using things we had around the house) ;)
And then they enjoyed getting to plant daffodil bulbs received from Josh's boss (Thanks MaryAnn) in our front yard. I can't wait to see them since yellow is my favorite color and I ALWAYS love seeing these flowers!

So as you can see I'm sure you'll see more in the future about our small garden and the love of learning take place with our sweet kiddos. :)
