Lego love...

One of the sweetest rewards of seeing Aidan grow older is the relationship getting stronger between him and his daddy. As I'm slowly learning to "let go" of his baby (although he will ALWAYS be my baby!) ways, I'm also learning to enjoy and see the bond grow between a father and his son.

As Aidan grows, his interests change and things seem to "stick" vs. the kid in a candy shop who goes from one thing to another. You know what I mean? His hobbies are becoming established. His likes and interest are building. I mean for example, his love of science is incredible and has been for at least 2 years now and continues to grow or his love of animals has never changed (in fact, Josh and I joke how we should have named him Noah!) . Then there are things that have come and gone such as his love of garbage trucks or Mary Poppins. ;)

All this to say, I'm not sure if Legos are something that will come and go or something that just sticks. All I know is that seeing the enjoyment of my two guys playing piecing legos together, made my Saturday night and a reminder to continue to pray for their relationship to "stick."  So thankful for a husband who sits down with his little ones to listen to, pray over, and enjoy their uniqueness.

We only bought a small set (on clearance) to "test" it out and I'm pretty sure we have some new ideas for Christmas now. ;)
