Jones Academy!

Alright well it's been nearly a month since the last school update and school is still in progress! About to start week 9! In full swing and so far this Mama is staying on top of it. Knowing we have an entire month off in December dedicated to new sister time, makes it a bit more motivational. ;)

Fraction Review in math

Science Experiment: Discovered that yeast needs SUGAR to make carbon dioxide (and for bread to rise). When we did this with salt the balloon didn't rise.

Abigail has known her colors for a LONG time but to review and practice with scissors we had fun making a color collage!

For the past months we've studies Indians and then moved into pioneers so we made butter from whipping cream!

Shaking cream for 15 minutes straight makes for some tired muscles. ;) 

 But SO worth it!

This picture was taken in their art class! I have yet to see what they have been working on each week but I can't wait to see what's in their portfolios on their last day of class!

 When this gal keeps asking for more school, she likes to spend time with her Tag (while I work with Aidan).

 In Bible time we've been learning different names for Jesus and memorizing verses. We have LOVED our History/Science/Bible curriculum! Full of hands-on projects such as these in bible time...

 And of course, we take a nice long break when it rains in the sunshine!

 Sometimes, we just go with the flow and color in the kitchen. ;)

And last week, I was so excited we got to start our introduction to classical composers this year! It's been fun to broaden our studies (especially since I love classical music)!! Aidan LOVED it! I'm sure it reminded him of a past favorite (Little Einsteins) ;)

And with the gorgeous weather...you can bet we're doing lots of reading and enjoyment outside. :)
