We've met new friends that home school like we do and have enjoyed getting to spend fun days with them over the past few months. I've enjoyed the Mama time with other ladies who love the Lord and seek to teach their children at home and the fact that we all seem like-minded. I came up with the fun idea of having "holiday" parties as some of our play/learning time so last week we got together for our Thanksgiving celebration. :)
We played, Where's the pilgrim's hat?
Played with friends and learning to share... ;)
Enjoying pizza and friendship time...
Super cute take home gift... :) (candy cornucopias)
Jen time!
We also read a couple of Thanksgiving stories and did our fun craft of coloring turkeys and adding "thankful" feathers... (my job!)
Mrs. Laura read a short story of why we celebrate Thanksgiving and they each got to take home a little color book...
Of course, afterwards they were ready to play again. I'm just so thankful we met this fun group of children and ladies to build relationships and learn with as we go along the Lord's calling to our family. And so thankful the Lord knew exactly what I needed in the perfect timing as he orchestrated us to all grow with each other.
