Last Saturday we made a family trip to our local library to pick up some books I had on hold and fill our "library" basket with more great stories. The library has become our best friend. I normally take the kids by myself during the week to return books and check more out. Our basket is never empty and holds normally 20-30 books a week! We love it. :)
Last weekend I placed a reader on hold for Aidan (Level 2) about Candy Corn because if you remember we did some Candy Corn fun last week during Halloween. Well, little did I know he finished it by Sunday afternoon! I'm telling you he surprised me! (although it really shouldn't with how much this kid reads!) He read a Level 2 (second grade), 76 page chapter book in 2 DAYS! I don't even know if I could do that! ;) And yes, recalled it when I asked about it. :) He really is our super reader and we are super proud parents! :)
