**Ice Cream making post is under this one**
What a week we had! There are so many great ideas online and pinterest I'm not sure how one mother can do them all. I'm just glad there is always next year to pick up where we left and do more crafts to reinforce what we're learning. :) (at least that's what I tell myself) ;) Ps. It's getting difficult to find ideas after H and I'm wondering if it has to do with holidays approaching...we will see!

So fun with letter I!
(Book list)
After reading Kumak's Fish, we made Igloos with sugar cubes and talked about the weather, kind of people who live in them, how it might feel, etc. She loved it!
Reading break for this book lover (who snuggled herself in Mommy's jacket) :)
This was the first time to do this activity with Abigail (considering the HUGE pushpins) however she really enjoyed it and handled with responsibility. I had a piece of foam from the bookshelf box and used that as the backing and she pinned along the line to form the letter I.
Play-doh break before lunch!
Another day we worked on Indian hats! They had so much fun playing and pretending outside! Even Aidan made one. :)
Aidan enjoyed baking bread with me during rest time. :)
And it was DELICIOUS!!
We love the hammock when we need breaks in our day to rest...
I didn't capture Abigail when we did this activity but it was matching Insects to their shadows...
Aidan enjoys reading chapter books with me or Josh before bedtime and since Hugo was on the Caldecott list (the goal we set) Josh and Aidan read it together and they finished! It was such a big deal because if you've seen the book you would know it's HUGE! :)
Yes! 511 pages. The longest book Aidan's read (it does have pictures though)! He then enjoyed seeing the movie afterwards with Josh during the girls nap. It was a pretty exciting day for a little boy. :)
Our new addition to the school room...
Another activity Abigail did. I've really been trying to incorporate more letter reviews since she's been learning so many and it seems to be helping her remember so I'm pleased with these activities. :) This week was Ice Cream review (of course!)
How many insects on the leaves. She's been doing great with remembering her numbers and identifying them. :)
Abigail matched the number of scoops with the number...
We also worked on sorting, which one had the most scoops, fewest, etc.
Aidan's science...we're covering plants and parts. Although he knows it VERY well it's been fun to review and use our nature walk leaves for our projects. :)
And to end the I week can you guess what we made!!?? (will reveal next!) :)
WHAT A WEEK! Even this girl knows it... :)
