Letter H

What a week! :) Here's a glimpse of our week at Jones Academy...

Aidan mixed colors for his activity in Reading with his story Max the Mixer.

 Girls watching him paint more art...

 We continued learning about Christopher Columbus and his adventures...

 Working on Geography and different Landforms...

 Writing from his idea box...

Like I said, Aidan's pretty hard to capture pictures since we're always on the move. ;)

Letter of the week last week was H!

We made Happy Hippo puppets...

 A lot of these I just captured after we did it. It's getting too difficult at times to capture during an activity but just so you see what we did I wanted to capture it finished...

I also let Abigail give Haircuts for letter H...she LOVED it!!! 

A great fine motor exercise! 

We also worked with counting and numbers with our Hot Chocolate and marshmallows...

We continued working on shape recognition (even though she knows them) so she won't forget. ;)

These are just a couple activities I have readily available anytime she asks for school and I'm busy with another child, etc...

(motor skill and name recognition) Putting stickers on the letters of her name...

Lower case and capital letters puzzles... (sorry picture is sideways) 

 Our painting project this week that went along with a book...(a great book!)

 And I realized I hadn't been taking pictures of some of the books we've read with our letters so here are a few... :)

Some of our simple fall decorations in our classroom. ;)

We are continuing with the letter I this week, however in the next couple of weeks leading to Halloween my focus will be the letter P (skipping) and more fall fun activities with leniency. ;) (including more Mommy time and outside enjoyment)

So in the beginning of November I'll resume back to J. :)
