Letter G at Jones Academy!

She's so excited to begin week G! :)

Playing with magnetic pom poms :)
Here are some things we did this week to help learn G. Not in any order, I tried to capture pictures as we went along. As you can imagine, that can be difficult to do while keeping them engaged. ;)

I had printed out a Grocery list that was divided into fruit and vegetables. She had to try and find red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and pink of each kind. This helped with sorting fruits and veggies, colors, naming, and she honestly had so much fun checking off her items she gathered in her basket!

 Even Aidan wanted to help!

We then used our G stamp to stamp on a Goat. :)

We also used fine motor skills by using our scissors to cut Grass for...

 our letter G!

 Identifying letter G :)

We also used legos to measure Giraffes! She loved this activity to work on counting and measuring. :)

We also did Goldfish Graphing. Her first time to see and work a graph and she did great!! Quickly picked up the concept!

We then worked on counting Gumballs and she worked on identifying numbers. As you can see we've been working on numbers a lot more. ;)

And her first time learning the term "pattern." Just an introduction to Gooey Gumball patterns and she did great! She picked that concept up nice and quick.

Working on her letter G sticker page for our alphabet book.

And this was her first time to work on tracing her name. Wow! I'm telling you this girl is loving learning and keeps on surprising us. We are so proud at how well she is doing!

She enjoyed making her Garden Gate craft and decorating it with flowers and grass. :)
We also did a taste test to see which flavor grapes everyone liked. :) Abigail liked the black/dark purple ones and Aidan liked the green. :) Adelyn didn't have a preference. ;)

As Abigail is quickly learning her letters, Aidan is continuing 1st grade nice and strong. Here he is working on his daily notebook (to warm his brain up) before we dive into other subjects.
Here he is working on Awanas and memorizing the New Testament books for another red jewel.

Just a reminder in our school room. :)
One of our stories in reading time was Joseph's coat so we got crafty and enjoyed some art time of our own.

And we ended our science unit on Forces! :)
