Last week was our week back in the trying to get back into the swing of things...meaning school and our "routine." Oh family and friends. It was tough. I mean I miiight have scared my children by the quieter voice I had when discipline needed to happen. And me screaming lifting my heart and plea to the Lord for help. A week of letting loose in a hotel with swimming is SO much fun but getting back into the swing of things...not.so.much. However! We made it! And it all honesty, they did great (after a few guided directions on the right path ;). So here was our "tougher to get through week."
Yes, I did start my Monday morning posting this up on our microwave and in our school room geared up for the week!

Abigail worked on matching colored shapes. She picked one out of the pile, found it on her chart and dotted it. :) She did perfect!
Working on fine motor skills!
Farm play!
I'm tellin' ya, those ears were fun last week! :)
Sorting our E eggs!
Abigail put together an Elephant puzzle.
Circled the correct number of E pictures. We are currently working on her identifying numbers and she has surprised me! Smarty pants in the making!
E for Eye! She worked on matching eyes to the faces.
She then colored the picture that she thought looked like her. :)
Last week Aidan had finished his unit of stars, moon, and sun so we were fortunate Josh had a telescope to observe the stars and moon one night!
We even captured a lizard!
A few things from Aidan's week!

For Awana's at home he worked on getting his green jewel so that meant picking a missionary and finding out what they do, praying for them, and learning his verse. We picked a couple from Brazil and even got to write them an email. He received a response right before leaving for Awana's and he left grinning ear to ear!

Tom and Bernice Hammond says:
Aidan! What a great joy to hear from you. We are so pleased you are learning about missionaries. You are very smart! We appreciate all of your prayers....they mean so much. You are very powerful in your prayers! Maybe one day you will be able to visit us and deliver water filters and audio Bibles to the people in the Amazon. Please keep in touch and keep praying. You are making a difference! Cheering for you, Tom and Bernice Hammond www/tomandbernice.com
In response to your message on 2013-09-17:
Dear Tom and Bernice, My name is Aidan Jones. I am six years old and learning about missionaries in Awanas at church. I chose you to pray for and learn about. You're the best missionaries in the world. Thank you for telling people about Jesus. I like audio Bibles. You are so far away you can't see us in Texas. Thank you for telling people about Jesus. Aidan Jones
