Since we were traveling on Independence Day I planned some fun with the kids on the day before. I wanted to make sure it was a day of learning and enjoying family with crafts, books, and fun while talking about how blessed we are to live in America. :) These were just a few pictures of us coloring the flag and decorating our star craft for our mantel. :)
Of course, we had to have blue and red piggies to celebrate! (with sparkles!)
And thanks to our neighbor who was breaking rules...ahem...we had a frightened little girl who thought it was best to rest in front of Aidan's door...
On July 4th we were headed to Sunnyvale, TX to celebrate with Josh's parents. We enjoyed family time, BBQ, banana pudding, and the new swing set!

As you could tell the kids had lots of fun making memories! :)
We left that afternoon and while the kids slept on the way back, they also slept when we got home. After waking them up at 5:30pm from their nap, we had dinner, watched a movie, and headed over for fun fireworks in Hickory Creek. They enjoyed every bit of the gorgeous fireworks! :)

We hope you had a great day celebrating Independence!
