Two weekends ago, Josh and I decided to take the kids to pick blackberries at a local farm and they had a blast! This was first experience for us all and we are so glad we did. You can bet we will be doing again next year (since they are already done for the season).

We ate a lot fresh and I couldn't resist making blackberry cobbler! In fact, my parents enjoyed a 2nd batch since we saw them the next week! YUM!
I (we) can say the cobbler was great (and we didn't have to do any of the work to enjoy it)! The cobbler reminded me of when Meeme and I picked wild blackberries by our house in Jacksonville, FL and she would fix yummy cobblers. The kids will have wonderful memories, too!
