Jones Academy Spring 2013

Well we are on week two of our spring session of Kindergarten and starting off with a big  HUGE head start. Aidan is doing fantastic! In fact, a lot better than I thought he would considering we were on "break" of our scheduled school days. Of course, he still read like crazy which in fact, seemed like he just hit this big reading milestone. It's like something just clicked or Mom's great teaching  and he was reading everything in sight. Which when a kid reads it just leads to a whole new world (are you singing the Aladdin song in your head now bc I just did as I typed that out) and great advantages (like reading to your sisters ;). So to give you a glimpse into a few school days I will indulge you in some learning pictures. :)

Pictograph Learning :)

My favorite inside: Eat Deer Meat. haha!

Reading to Abigail

Was so proud to finish his BIG book (200+ pages)

My sweet, precious, favorite little guy!

At night Josh and I take turns reading a Magic Tree House book and we are currently on number 18. :) What's even more fun is Aidan is starting to take turns reading it with us.

Painting

Well I hope you enjoyed those pictures as much as I did. ;) I always love seeing his progress throughout the year. I know homeschooling has it's challenges but let me just state, nothing NOTHING can beat watching him learn in front of my very eyes and seeing his love of learning grow each day. My job is hard,  hard, HARD and there are days where I feel like a failure and cry on Josh's shoulder because I feel inadequate but when the Lord reminds me of my calling and how our life looks different than most, I know with full certainty that HE is equipping everyday for the challenge He has given me. I can't do it without Him and His mercy and grace. Thankful for each day and allowing me to teach my children.
