Baby love

Oh, this girl and her babies. I'm fairly certain she has a new "best" baby so I introduce to you Baby or Adelyn (as she calls her depending on the mood). I can't tell you how much my baby girl loves to be such a mommy and love on her babies. She is swaddling, walking, buckling, feeding, soothing, burping, and anything else you can think of to do to babies (even drop them a couple of times...;) just kidding grandparents!). It wasn't until this found love of hers that I have quickly discovered how much I see myself through her eyes. I'm proud to say she does love these little ones, she cups the back of her little head when she's holding her on her shoulder, she wraps them in warmth, feeds them. In fact, I've even seen some ahem, alerts that have risen a little flag in me questioning myself "Do I really do that!?" For example, having a baby in the stroller, diaper bag on one shoulder, pushing and having the phone on my other shoulder while talking. Yes, folks. I did catch her in this juggling act only to find a little bit frustration on her little self. Or jumping on the trampoline with her baby as the head is bouncing up and down about to knock her in the face (so obviously I don't do that but it was a hilarious moment) Or the most recent act of every time she lifts or sets the baby down she's groaning like this baby doll is the heaviest thing on earth and saying "Aww, come her baby...uuuggghhh" (as she's trying to straighten back up with baby on her hip). Surely she's not mimicking ME right? Okay, I confess, I did tell myself, while watching this one several episodes that I must not be SO dramatic as I pick up Adelyn (even though she does weigh a lot!). Oh, how fun eye opening it is to see her perspective of my job. ;)

However, after all these sweet "mommy" moments, I'm sweetly reminded within the 5 minutes of her groaning to pick up her little one that I can gently pick up MY baby girl and she lets me sing sweet songs such as Jesus Loves Me and Great is Thy Faithfulness into her tiny ear before setting her down into her crib. My precious middle one who I LOVE so much...
