July 4th 2012

We hope everyone had a wonderful day celebrating America's birthday! How incredibly blessed we are to live in this country that has the freedom to serve Christ and to be able to openly share the Word and teach our children to be servant's of the true King!

This year we had originally thought we were going to be celebrating with Josh's family, however, since we had change of plans Josh decided he would love to spend his day off just relaxing with the family. And let me just tell you...we did. Just a glimpse of the fun-ness (is that even a word? ;)...

The three little loves wishing you a Happy 4th of July!

Can you guess what this trail of clothes led to this afternooon!? ....

Yes my friends...sitting pool side  inside. ;)

My great hubby cooking delicious chicken, hot dogs, corn on the cob, and bell peppers. YUM! Have a mentioned he's the GREATEST? :)
This lovebug did most of her hanging time with me. :) Walking strapped to me, jumping in the bouncer, napping, whatever it was definitely made this beauty have a great day. :) I was trying to capture a glimpse of just how gorgeous her eyes are. They are green with brown in them. True definition of hazel...thanks to her Papa. :)

After dinner and bath time we attempted sparklers. Thanks to Pinterest for the coolest idea of poking holes through a plastic cup to protect their sweet fingers. It worked and they were mesmerized (as you can tell by the look of Aidan's face. ;)

Abigial's turn!

Now let me just tell you, Josh asked the lady at the firework stand what are some kid friendly ones because if you remember from last year. Fireworks=not good and was a family movie night instead. Even with the famous "chicken." So after the lady offered that one and Josh politely said no thanks, we ended up with sparklers that turn in a circle and shoot up high.

Dear folks at the firework station, Any LOUD ones that make a HUGE POP sound...not good for parents who ask for ones that don't scare children. ;) Sincerely, parents who want their children to like fireworks. ;)
So needless to say, after that attempt, we enjoyed our colored sparklers and with much anticipation waited for the "big show" that night. :)

So, after baths and a little movie snuggling time, we loaded the BEST children ever in the vehicle, packed some crackers with their water, brought their night blankets and camped out. Let me just say, we had the BEST spot ever. After some family car dancing and singing, the kids watched with amazement and awe as they were right in-front of us. Aidan's favorite were the green ones and the ones that looked like "rain with sparkles." Abigail's were the big purple ones. Even Adelyn loved watching and I'm pretty sure we even heard some "ooo's" from her. :) Watching their face light up was worth staying up 2 1/2 hours past their bed time. And let me just brag they did wonderful coming home and snuggling in bed (I'd say it took 3 minutes). You got that right, our kid's rocked and are totally awesome! :)

Waiting...
And we just miiiight have gone a little silly waiting some more. ;)

We hope you had a great day!! Happy 4th of July everyone!
