Aidan's swim lessons!

Months ago Josh and I talked about Aidan learning how to swim this summer and had planned to sign him up for swim lessons. We were all so excited to see him learn to be a little fish. ;) We signed him up just a couple of weeks before they started and am so glad we didn't wait any longer since the spots fill up fast. And luckily there were two spots. One for him and one for his friend, Carter to join the fun! Even though the class had around 8 children they split them up in 2 smaller groups of 4 so they could capture more attention.

And although watching her big brother swim was hard at times, she quickly grew to be patient and swam later at home in the small pool. ;)

 The last two weeks with swim lessons definitely kept our days busy but lots of fun. Aidan did great getting familiar with a big pool and learning to do "bobs" (putting his head completely under water and holding his breath), learning how to do "big scoops," kicking, and going under water to get rings. Although he hasn't perfected his swimming technique and still needs some help, we are so glad he is more familiar with swimming. And we know it'll be a work in progress since we aren't around a big pool but we know he has become familiar and more comfortable with it. :) We are so proud of our fish Aidan!
