lunch date

Although I'm SUPER behind on posts I wanted to share our special day today. Even though it wasn't an all day event, it was one special hour to us. Josh took a week "vacation" from work (wish that were true! ha!) to take a course at the seminary all week, every day, from 6:30am-6:30pm (includes travel time). Which now brings the number to 6 classes left before he finishes his Masters degree! Trust me when we say, we can finally see the light! This has been a long road and journey for us and we are so excited as Josh is about to complete God's calling beginning years ago. Today was special. Since Josh has been gone all day (before the kids rise for the day and barely making it before bedtime) we had talked about visiting him one day this week. This hour was cherished by all of us. :)As we drove up in the van to meet Josh, I couldn't help but think about how Josh and I started this season with just the two of us and now here I am pulling up three more additions to our family. Sweet moments folks! Aidan LOVED LOVED seeing Daddy's school and as soon as we pulled in Aidan asked if this was a temple.ha! I will say Southwestern Seminary has a beautiful campus!
We got to walk along the paths and see squirrels eating 2 feet away from us, the beautiful gardens and Aidan LOVED this globe!
While Abigail enjoyed her favorite part...the food. ;)
If you don't know the president of the school (Paige Patterson) is a HUGE game hunter. In fact, when Josh and I saw his office, we were in shock at all his animals (he even has a giraffe head-neck included- in his office) His mission is hunting these animals (that danger people) in countries and giving the meat to people and tribes in hunger. Feeding hungry people, ministering, and sharing the gospel. Although these weren't killed by him, they were donated to the seminary by another man. Sorry Cabela's but this display definitely won. ;)
After eating and looking at the animals we went to feed the fish in the pond. They had a small bowl of fish food (for free) we could take to feed them. Kids LOVED this time.
Hearing Josh say, thank you out of the blue when leaving reminded me how much I adore him. Just as he was so gracious and excited for us to see him for an hour, we were also. Thanks Josh for a fun lunch date!
