Your baby has really plumped up. She weighs about 6.8 pounds and she's over 19 1/2 inches long (like a leek). She has a firm grasp, which you'll soon be able to test when you hold her hand for the first time! Her organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb. Wondering what color your baby's eyes will be? If she's born with brown eyes, they'll likely stay brown. If she's born with steel gray or dark blue eyes, they may stay gray or blue or turn green, hazel, or brown by the time she's 9 months old.
Okay well little missy is still not here, however, I'm enduring the pain and prep of her arrival. I went to my appt yesterday to find out I didn't make as much progress as I'd hoped. I was still about a 3 and 60% effaced but she did drop lower (to a -1 station). However that afternoon, after walking the mall with a dear friend and having some pretty intense contractions, Josh and I thought it was best to go ahead and go to the hospital (Triage). After being monitored for an hour they checked for progress. When I arrived I was about the same as the Dr. office but when I left I was 4 cm and about 80% effaced with 0 station so she's definitely gearing up to meet the world. Today has been a pretty rough day with very hard contractions so I'm sure she will be here really soon. The nurse in fact told us last night she would not be surprised if she came today or tomorrow. The hardest part is waiting. Since I'm a VBAC (vaginal birth after csection) patient it means they can't do anything to try and speed up labor such as pitocen, break my water, etc. Which only means water has to break on my own or active labor. So that means I'm getting pretty antsy. ;)Enduring these 2 minute apart contractions is getting old and very tiring. So continue to pray for her to just hurry herself up. ;)
And hopefully the next time I blog you'll get to meet our little Lovebug! :)
